Default Does anyone else get mad at the Pirates of the Carribean box set packaging?

Bought it last week and two movies come with slip covers while the other doesn't, ok thats fine but a little weird. the real problem is making a case where it is impossible to get the movies out of the packaging

am I alone on this?

All three movies came with a slipcover for me, but I did buy mine about a year ago.

My copy of Dead Man's Chest didn't come with a slipcover, is that the one that was missing for you? No biggie to me though

It was a little strange.

Contact Disney at their 1-800 number printed on the disc and they will send a slipcover. I am not kidding.

Mine came like that too. I don't think the blurays in the box set are supposed to have the slipcovers on them because its almost impossible to get the damn things out without tearing up the slipcovers.

My Dead Man's Chest is missing the slip cover but I could care less since they sit on the shelf in the box with the other side looking out and I will be lucky if I watch them again in the next 2 years.

Mine only came with 2 slipcovers also. I got my hands on the one I was missing and tried placing them into the box set, only to find that they had to be forced in. I ended up ditching the box set just because it was very difficult to remove them with their slipcovers on. I don't think the box set's going to be that useful since they are planning on making a 4th.

Weird, my copy came with ZERO slipcovers. Not that that matters really, it's more about the discs and their content.

My box set had no individual covers, but the box the three of them are supposed to fit into is a millimeter or two too small and you have to open the back flap and push the BD you want out from behind and then pull on the front to get it out. Uber annoying. I think I'm just going to throw the box away and stick the three individual cases on the shelf next to each other to avoid the annoyance.

I don't have to do this with my box set.

The ones I have seen in my area either have all 3 slipcovers, or have none. And in every store, the individual release of each movie, the first movie in the series never has a slip cover, while the other 2 do. Except at Wal-Mart, all 3 movies have slips. *shrug* weirdness. Another weird thing, it's cheaper to buy the 3 movies individually than it is to buy the box set. You could buy a 4th blu-ray with the price difference. Guess which one I'll be chosing? heh

I wonder if someone on this site has enough pull to contact Amazon and find out what the deal is with slipcovers. I've been ordering Blu-rays almost exclusively from them and always got slipcovers until recently I didn't get one on Pinocchio or Terminator Salvation. I could understand Pinocchio as that has been out awhile but Terminator was shipped on release day.

Is Amazon removing these at their warehouses if damaged or other reason? Are they returns that weren't returned with slipcovers?
Does the studio send them some without covers due to a shortage?

Btw thanks for the info on Disney and getting a slipcover I will do that for Pinocchio.

The Mummy box set was the same way. Only 2 slips.

I am just upset that all 3 films just got released in the steelbooks. I would of rather of had those than the first releases.

They pack many of these three movie sets by what they have in front ot them. POTC is a crapshoot. A local store has The Mummy trilogy with slipcovers on the first two movies but not the newest one!

Personally it doesnt bother me. What irks me, however, is Disney changing the case/slipcover size on the third POTC movie so that it sticks out a little more than the first two. That kind of stuff bugs me!

With my Mummy box you can't fit all 3 movies with slips on in the box. The box looks like it was designed specifically for 2 slips. The third movie being the odd one out.
