3)Sony bravia v-series KDL-52v4100 52' 1080p-$1,199.00
4)Sony bravia w-series KDL-52w4100 52' 1080p 120hz-$1,299.00

I'd say either the Samsung LN52B550 or the Sony KDL-52W4100 would be the best picks from those choices.

How about one of these.

It can probably be found cheaper online but it still falls within your price range.

I have the 46" version of the sony v-series and I love it so I would recommend the sony 52" v-series.

I'm a big supporter of the Sony brand. Of all TVs my family members and friends have owned, Sony seems to be the ones that are most reliable while producing top-notch quality... at least, from my demographic of tell-tale experiences.

I have the Sony Bravia KDL-52W3000. It has gotten about 10 hrs of use everyday for the last 2.5 years and is still as bright and sharp as the day I bought it.

So, I vote for either of the Sony choices.

Have you seen any of these at the store?
we narrowed the selection down to 2 brands (Samsung/Sony) and then I made sure it was at least 120 Hz (making into the 600 series Samsung). We ended up with a 630...we like it.

sure this doesn't help but have you seen them all in person?
