Bluray. Dimension is releasing The Brother Grimm as part of the second wave of 'Disney' discs.

That's correct Dimension is a division of Disney which is distributed by Buena Vista which is a Blu-ray exclusive company.

I asked this, because Dimension owns Jackie Chan's 'Legend of Drunken Master' a.k.a. Drunken Master 2.

Here are 2 clips from that movie, simply awesome!!!:

But the problem is, the Weinstein were part of Miramax, which Dimension is also a part of. Maybe a few movies from the Miramax labrary will go to the Weinsteins.

Man I really hate those Weinsteins. Not because they support HD-DVD. But because, they buy the rights for Kung fu movies, and release them in a real crappy version, with lots of cut scenes, pisses me off.

Yeah it's a disagree how many of the HK kung fu films were released here on DVD. I like a lot of Jackie Chan and Jet Li films but I too am concerned that the eventual HD versions will be butchered as well. The most inane thing I've seen is when Buena Vista released Armor Of God as Operation Condor 2, and Armor Of God 2 as Operation Condor 1. I mean, what the hell? You can't take a sequel and release it as the first movie in the series!! Who comes up with these stupid decisions?

Yeah, that armour of god thing was REALLY confusing.

But at least Europe has 'Hong Kong legends', this is a distribution company for HK films, and they are really doing a good job with distibuting the films. High quality, lots of extra's.

Yeah I used to own some of their discs. Unfortunately Buena Vista owned the distribution rights to many of the great films, HKL couldn't get them.

Yeah, thats right, Drunken Master 2 is an example of that.

I got the Chinese region 0 version of that movie, the Chinese dub is 10 times better than the English dub available from Dimension (eventhough I dont understand Chinese). The music is different too, much better than the English version, it has catchy themes.
