Default Pulled the trigger today

So after saving money for over six years on a home theater system (and having a string of really good luck) a year ago I bought my Pioneer Elite plasma and receiver. Today I mailed out the check for the Pioneer Elite 95. I fully realize a cheaper player could be found as well as waiting for a 1.1 player, but I could care less about PiP. I researched the HD war for ever and decided this was what I wanted. I wish people well that select the other format, but since I am a perfectionist in my system, I picked Blu-ray. Since I want the format to suceed, I do not plan on getting the other format. Thanks to people on this board and others for helping me decide.

Great news, friend. You'll love the Pioneer, also. I really dig their transports for the money. Receiver?

I'm envious Pioneer is the s@#*. I agree with you about the gimmicky interactive features. I only want them to shut the trolls up.

I'll agree that some of the interactive features included on HD DVD discs aren't all that impressive.

For instance, who cares about a GPS guide of all the locations in Transformers, and the background stories about the characters are pointless (who needs to know that Sam's teacher loves to play paint ball in his free time).

May the Blu be with you, always!

At least for me the two best one of all time: Blu-Ray and Star Wars

Thanks, and the receiver is the Elite 92 that came out a few months ago. It ought to pair well with it.

Congrats to you. Nice that you took your time and did the research. I have to say that many people on this site have such great advice and insight on TV's, players, receivers, speakers and movies. This site cover's it all. Great group!
