Default pulled the trigger on my new sound system

first let me say thanks for all the advice guys, and thanks to those that run this site for offering a very informative forum, its very appreciated.
I settled on this:
integra dtr-6.8
klipsch rf-82 x 2
rc-62
rs-52 x 2
$2900 - tax included

hopefully my old ass sub still works and if it does i hope it blends well with this setup, if not ill be in the market for a sub soon.

Sweet! You will want a new sub soon.... I just got bit by that bug, hard. I had to get a SVS. Hold off as long as you can though, shouldn't be too hard with that setup, looks pretty nice

Congratulations! Enjoy setting it up...

You know when you open the box and get this "new" smell? Oh, I just love that... almost like the new car smell

I've upgraded everything except the Sub........ and I still think I'm going to get a new receiver first...... but my sub really drags my system down, so if you can deal with your existing sub.... go for it! I've been "putting up" with mine for awhile!!!!

Congratulations!

The RF-82 look really nice... In Canada, they are 1400$/pair. Which is 1.4 times the US price

If you find the need to upgrade your sub, I highly recommend SVS....great performance, great price.

Nice! I did also. I only had about $1200 to spend and went with Onkyo 705 with some HK 18's

good to hear, it really impressed me the level of service i got considering i am only 25 and still look like a punk ass skateboarder and they generally handle people building new homes with dedicated media rooms.

Completely off-topic, my wife and I do very well, but we're modest people..... I go into Best Buy a lot, because I love to look around. I don't spend as much time in the DVD aisles anymore, but when I did, it's amazing how much "attention" I gain when I spend an hour in the DVD section...... Sorry guys, I didn't pick up my dry-cleaning and go to the "stylist" before I came to your store, so I must be ready to steal something!!!!

I really hate people who judge you for how you look. I went on one particulary large shopping spree there one day, picking up maybe 25 movies (no cart.... I didn't "plan" on getting anything!) and I got a personal escort by two little punks all the way up to the register......where they watched me set the movies down, and actually waited for the cashier to start ringing stuff up..........

do you have video output as HDMI in the bluray player?

Did you configure the HDMI input button on the receiver correctly?

...and did you change the Input to HDMI on the TV?

1.) i have played my blu before through my tv with hdmi so unless it changed cause i hooked up the receiver/coax, it should still be hdmi.
2.)probably not lol, i tried
3.)yep its on the right input and i am getting the visual menu from the receiver shown on my tv, and i have the blu sound coming through the receiver, but no image passing through? ill keep messing around with it, just wondered if this was one of those "quick fix" things everyone forgets to do during setup.
