Default Hellbound: Hellraiser II???

Now that we've seen the release of Hellraiser on blu-ray and the release of Hellbound on 20th anniversary DVD, where is the blu-ray, Anchor Bay. I personally think that Hellraiser II is just as important to the series as the first film. It isn't necessarily better, but it is without question equally as enjoyable.

Anyone else interested? Anybody heard anything?

Dude, chill. It'll come out eventually.

Anchor Bay just re-released a 20th anniversary edition that reportedly used an old transfer.

They most likely need to spend some cash on a better HD transfer, and since it's not a big catalog seller, it'll most likely be a while before the cost is justified.

Lame. Anchor Bay sucks sometimes. I figured that had a hi-def transfer. I didn't purchase it (out of hope for a blu-ray).

I'd buy it in a heartbeat! That's my most favorite Hellraiser movie! I'd rather have that on blu-ray than any of the others (even though I like them all).

That pretty much says it all. They have a large catalog and haven't released very much. Being a smaller studio, it's probably a financial issue.

Great movie! And we need the UNRATED edition including the "lost scene" on Blu-ray!

The "lost scene" can be found on the tin-box DVD release from AB.

It's funny. It's been a long time since I've seen it (about 8 yrs), but I remember liking Hellraiser Bloodline. The concept of going through the different generations to show the creation/history of the puzzlebox is really cool. The film loses its way by the time it ends, but you have to give Hollywood credit for not simply ripping off the original. Many of the Hellraiser films consciously tried to be different and unique compared to the previous.

Hello everyone! I want to get Hellbound on bluray but it looks like the best version of the movie is the one in the Scarlet Box... which cost 159 bucks. Do you have any advice on what to do? I already own the first Hellraiser and just want the second one.
Thanks a lot!!!

Unfortunately, the Scarlet Box version of Hellbound isn't sold separately as of yet. This appears to be the only single version floating around. I owned it at one point, I didn't think it was quite as bad as the reviewer here thought it was. It worked for me for a while, until the SB came.

Thank you for the quick reply! So... there's not a version from a different region comparable to the version in the Scarlet Box?

To be honest the Arrow : Scarlet Box version of HR II- Hellbound is not that much better than the Image Films version.

Although Arrow : did release the SB version in Region A it is no longer in print and this is why the inflated cost on Amazon and Ebay.

So having the Image Films version isn't a deal breaker when it comes to owning the movie on Blu-ray.

However the downside of it all : HR III can only be found on Bluray through the Scarlet Box version.

There is no individual Region A release of that movie on Blu-ray.

There is an Italian Version of HR III on Bluray which is region B made by
a 3rd party publisher : Koch Media
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hellraiser-...b2Y:rk:11:pf:0

There is also a Australia version made by : Umbrella Entertainment which is region locked as well.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Hellraiser-...HbO:rk:29:pf:0

Now I know it exist but not sure who published it. There is a
Japanese 3 film box set on Bluray that has the 1st three movies.
Japan being region A will play on USA players but... not sure if subtitles are available in English or a default English Audio Track.
https://www.amazon.com/Hellraiser-Bl.../dp/B00509S7Q0

If possible I would grab the DVD version from Anchor Bay before they disappear.

Thanks a lot for all the info!
I already own the Arrow Steelbook Limited Edition of the first Hellraiser and never cared that much for Hellraiser III, so getting the Image edition of Hellbound sounds like the way to go. Besides, it's only nine bucks, so I guess that's better than waiting to see if Arrow ever releases it separately.
Thanks again!
