I know it's not supposed to be released till the 21st but netflix is saying they are sending me the blu-ray today, is it an error or what?

or am I going to end up with the.....*dun dun dun*

If you got the shipping confirmation email, it does state in it if the title is a blu-ray. If not...well you got a SD.

I haven't received the email yet, the netflix page still has it listed as "shipping today"...

When I had the Die Hard movies on my Netflix list I got the DVD of DH2 because the BD wasn't available at my nearest shipping center. I then had to make a change to my account to where I only get BD if the title is available on BD even if I have to wait a little longer. If the title doesn't have a BD release then I get the DVD. So, don't be surprised if you get the DVD.

hmm, I think I have it set to where if the BD is not available I just have to wait, it doesn't send the dvd by default.

ok got the email, it says "Hellraiser (Blu-ray) Arriving on or around: Friday, Apr 10, 2009"

if this email is accurate then how did they get it so early?

amazon still lists it as a pre order for the 21st but we do have a review for it already on this site

update: it was a blu-ray and looked pretty damn good. I guess netflix does get some discs early

and there is a box set that has Hellraiser 1 and 2 on DVD and Hellraiser 1 on Bluray.

That box is awesome but I don't understand the marketing behind it...I'll be buying on of these very soon. Does the Hellbox come with the blu-ray in the case inside or is it like a fold out packaging? Anyone know?

zip.ca in Canada (netflix clone) doesn't even list it on Blu yet.

I'm planning to buy it anyway though. This was always one of my favorite flicks of its type.

For the source, the video and audio are excellent. This is an older, low-budget film, so its not going to be perfect. But for what it is, it is great!

Oh poop.... it's "Available Now" on Blu-ray.... but they just shipped out my next one.... I'll have to wait a couple of days to get this

yup i just got mine in the mail as well. I was also surprised thats crazy we got it both on the same day. Im about to pop it in. I hope this happens with more new releases in the future

me either...that box looks bad ass but why would I want 1 and 2 on sd?? They should have waited till they did 1,2,3 all on blu and put them together...

Won't happen. 1 and 2 owned by Anchor Bay, 3 owned by Paramount and 4-8 owned by Dimension.

The cube thing is really cool, too bad it cannot be re-arranged just like in the movie. Yeah I know if it was it would be hard for the Blu cases to be inside but maybe they should have made a re-arrangeable cube as an extra or something.
