Well i'll agree with most of the Letdowns you've posted except for Transformers. Clerks 2 was by far the worst though...What the hell was Kevin Smith thinking when he released that piece of sh_t of a movie.

Take Transformers, and Their will be Blood off your letdown list, and your good to go.

Take I Am Legend off the "best" movies list , and put it in Let Downs! SuperBad should not even be considered.

Well Spiderman 3, XMen-Last Stand and FF2: ROSS might not have been GREAT movies, but I consider them to be the best of their series. FF1 SUCKED like no movie I have ever seen.

I ESPECIALLY agree with your Transformers listing as a "letdown". I'm not sure why everyone loves the movie so much. It was terrible in my opinion. And before anyone says "you must not have grown up with transformers" I DID. And it was far better than the cheesy crap that was spewed out on the big screen.

I personally disagree with your King Kong and I Am Legend as "best movies" While they weren't BAD movies. I would say they weren't up to my expectations. But to each his own I guess!

Transformers COULD have been great but the entire middle section was so chalk full of cheesy humor that it completely took me out of the movie. Two thirds of the movie is really good but that 1/3 in the middle just killed it for me.

For the record, The Transformers cartoon, and old school movies were VERY VERY cheesey.

Spiderman 3 was just OK. Spiderman 2 was the best in the trilogy imo. Part there they just through stuff in there, and had to many villians. Also the ending... It was just ok.

Opinions are like........

So... I've got one!!

There Will Be Blood was GREAT..... Transformers was "bad" I'll just leave it as "bad"

Sweeny Todd (Not on the list) was pretty cool, but the singing etc was kinda hard for me to swallow. I think it could have been a great sureal-Burton Flick without being a musical, and it would have worked better.

haha, Norbit, I expected that to fail miserably.

Anyhow, a few movies I've seen recently that have been surprisingly good are Before the devil knows your Dead & Walk Hard

considering that Sweeny Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street is a Tony award-winning musical written by Stephen Sondheim i don't think it would work better without the singing aspect. to say this would be like Voltron woudl have been better if they used cute kittens than metallic lions.

No movie is a letdown for me.

I don't let my expectations get to unrealistic levels, and I enjoy a movie for what it is.
