Selecting A Receiver And Speaker - Blu-ray Forum

Hi Guys,

I am new here and I from INDIA, I was trying to find a good receiver and speakers and I found this site and I really liked this one. Hope you guys will help me.

I recently bought a LCD TV - LG SCARLET 4260FR and I received a DVD PLayer with it LG DV388.

Now I planning to buy a receiver and 6.1 channel speakers for it.
My investment would be 40 - 45K [ including speakers and receiver ]
As this would be one time investment, I want buy a good one.

Can you guys suggest some GOOD products.

Hope to get a positive response.

40 - 45K??? really?

as in $45,000?

most of these threads have guys asking for speakers/receiver for $450.

If you mean 45,000 U.S. dollars, these are my suggestions:

Receiver: Denon AVR-5308CI, $5,000

or you can buy Denon speparate pre/pro and amplifier for around $14,000.

Speakers: Take a pick from this list, http://www.higherfi.com/audio_speakers/sa

Subwoofer: Velodyne DD 1812, $11,000
