Speaker system comparrison

hey guys...
just bought my first receiver and pair of floor speakers
But I have recently seen a deal for a package of speakers that has me second guessing my original purchase

I bought the pioneer 1018 receiver and Energy C-500 floor speakers.
I will be looking to complete the Energy 5.1 system with the C-C100, C-R100s, and a sub (not sure if Ill go with Energy)
Total price for the speaker system will be ~$900

I recently found a Klipsch speakers system going for $800
It includes F2 towers, C2 center, S2 surrounds, Sub-10 sub.

My questions
Which system would likely be better?
If the energy system is superior, is it worth the extra $100?
Any other comments/suggestions would be appreciated!

There is also a Klipsch Icon system for $950
Includes VF-36s, VS-14s, VC-25, and sub-10

Go listen to them first before you make a decision - I have no idea how the Klipsch Icon setup is only $150 more - I'm not too fond of Klipsch, but those are nice speakers for that price.

I don't know too much about Energy speakers to be honest, but out of the two Klipsch packages, definitely take the Icons over the Synergy series if you so decide to.

But definitely, great receiver choice.

quick question... is there any difference between using bookshelf speakers over surround speakers
Particularily I am wondering if there would be a difference between using these bookshelf speakers C-100 over these surrounds C-R100
