Unhappy Concerns with smudges and scratches on screen

okay were to begin i have a panny pz85u and love it first of all.now it starts to get weird after my set was mounted to the wall and i did the break in i had my set calibrated and while cleaning i noticed scratches little ones but about 3 of them all in different spots didnt think nothing of it so got my handy cloth and proceded to clean the screen for dirt and what not than started to notice more problems i have full circle that is in the screen that is purpleish, than next to that i have a half circle the same thing now i am really confused so i wipe the screen and guess what it smudges so now with the two circles i now have a smudge and now quite a few little dots that are all purple everywhere.not only that but i also have another smudge in the top right corner that wont go away either.so i called panosonic customer service and now have an appointment with a tech to come out and look at the screen.didnt know really what to since it has already been past my thirty days since purchase to take back any thoughts as i love the tv but also want fixed.

Feeling really bad for you. Sorry I don't have any suggestions except to fight it out with Panasonic.

are you using some sort of chemical to clean with? Or was there a chemical that might have gotten on the cloth you used. What kind of cloth were you using...

i am using the mico lint cloth or however you say it but the real soft one that i picked up at walmart but no chemicals or water cause i am to scared to damage and also wipe very carefully but as far as i know there was no chemicals just a dry cloth.

I wipe all mine down every 3-5 days with some very fine clothes, & have not had an issue. Those scratches were probably there before you even bought it, or did you check the TV very closely as soon as it came out of the box?

well i thought i did but i guess i didnt but the most upsetting is the smudges and the purpeish dots and the pupleish circles that wont go away that are the most disturbing, but as with everything that you notice it all starts to get very upsetting but hopefully come wed it will be fixed

You didn't happen to accidently dissolve part of the anti-reflective coating, did you?

The purple dots are from something you've sprayed onto the screen that shouldnt have been sprayed on it. The HH Greg cleaning kit will take care of that trust me! It even comes with a cleaning sponge!
