Did some checking on this, and it looks like Lady Vengeance is the 'colorised'* version.

*Basically, from what I understand, Chan Wook shot this film with the intention of removing some of the color in post-production, so that around the half-way mark the movie would begin making a slow shift to black and white. He didn't get this done in time for the theatrical release, and most dvd-producers have opted to release the 'full color' version on dvd (presumably on the theory that full-color will sell better)
Make no mistake, the 'colorised' version is NOT the director's intention and should be avoided. (Yes, it the film was shot on color film-stock, but a full-color 'Lady Vengeance' should be greeted with the same contempt one might have for a 'color' release of "The Man Who Wasn't There" or "The Good German")

Pity. I never got Lady Vengeance on dvd, and would have liked to pick it up on blu-ray.

What a silly post, considering it was released WORLDWIDE in color, with the fade to black thrown in as an extra,(Chan Wook could have easily released the fade version ONLY on DVD), on DVD sets, I'll take what was released theatrically. 'Colorised' is not the right term either, since it was shot in color.

Your post should tell people to avoid for a more obvious reason: Not subtitled in English.

Lady Vengeance was previously announced for BD release in the UK on 4th May - however, it now appears to have been postponed with no new release date shown. In any case, that too would have been the full-colour version. I doubt that the version with the monochrome ending will be released anywhere in the foreseeable future.

Anyone see Highlander:The Source on Blu-ray? Is it lossless English audio and good picture quality? I liked the movie enough to buy it if the BD is good quality.
