Default Help Me Settle This: Would You Consider This An HTiB?

Jamo S 406 HCS 1

So I just put these on display today, and they blow the Klipsch RF-15s out of the water. They retail for $499 for the boxed set of towers, rears and center. No sub, no receiver. The assistant dept. manager wants to put them on the floor with our HTiB systems... I want to keep them in the sound room, considering the sub and amp are seperate, and they sound better than a Klipsch system that costs twice as much for the towers and center alone. What's everyone's opinion on this?

HTiB?
Conveniently packaged entry-level system?

HTiB = speakers, receiver and usually wiring.

This is just a matched speaker offering. i say keep'em with the speakers and away from the HTiB area.

HTIB means Home Theatre in a Box, that is just a set of speakers.

Yes. It is a speaker system. A speaker package is another term. A home theater in a box system is comprised of speakers, a receiver, wiring, and usually some sort of media player such as a DVD player or Blu-ray player.

On a separate note, I really like Jamo. They only folks that were offering them locally wanted to charge an arm and a leg. I like that your company has these available at this price.

Yeah, luckily the company has a good rapport with Klipsch and when they bought Jamo, they were more than willing to give us the Jamo stuff for reasonable pricing. I've always been impressed by the Jamo speakers we've carried regularly (the Concert series) and if it weren't for finding my B&W bookshelf speakers I would have gone with Jamo. We have demo contests at work and I've won a few times using Jamo bookshelves in a stereo setup with a good soul or jazz recording.
