Default Confused

I had been planning on buying a panny 58 800 u. Now I am hearing that, on 24p it is actually running it at 60hz refresh. What tv in this size will give me a true 24p playback?

I have the Panny 58 800U, and it is awesome. It will take the 24P, but if you try and eliminate the 3:2 pulldown by running setting the TV to 48hz, the picture flickers really bad and is not watchable, so you have to make the setting 60hz. I am not familiar with other TVs that run the true 24P without the 3:2 pulldown, but I am sure there are a bunch out there (I just have not looked). I would not let that discourage you though from the Panny. I am sure that some of the real high end TVs are better than the 800U, but Cleveland Plasma has it for 2500 (including shipping) and for that kind of money, the TV is a great catch. I love mine. HDTV cable is awesome and Blu-Rays (PS3) are crystal clear.
