i do believe PS3 games are all region-free.

PC games have no region locking AFAIK...

PC, PS3, PSP, and Nintendo DS are the current region free devices right now. However please note with PS3 it does not apply to Blu-ray movies or dvds unless you have a movie that is region-free already

and DLC content for games is to be used only for the region of the title.

ie. extra maps for NA shooter game have to be from NA PSN store.

and for patches for PC games I would download for the imported version (if different) right?

no
PC games don't have any different in different versions except for language I think.
Plus, if there are patches, just connect Online and it'll most likely inform you of what patches you ened.

couldn't tell ya. not much of a PC gamer. just the blizzard and some lucasarts stuff... oh and half life stuff too.
