I'm a BIG fan of FF VII, and I was wondering if there was a way to play PSP games on my big screen.

i'm really wanting to know because of Crisis Core. I dont care if it looks pixelated on the big screen. I want to play the prequel on something bigger than a 4-7 inch screen!

If you have the newer Slim PSP (model number in the 2000's) then you can buy a COMPONENT video cable and connect your PSP directly to your tv (your tv MUST accept 480p)

They also sell composite cables, but those only work for PSP movies. The component cables work for both, as PSP games are all progressive scan.

Ive tried it by the way, with GoW Chains of Olympus. PSP games are designed for widescreen, but they only take up about 75-80% of your tv screen. I think UMD movies take up the whole screen.

Just make sure you get a decently long cable. I got mine at walmart for like $15 and it was 12' long.

I bought the composite cable and can't wait for amazon to ship my FF7 so that i can play it on my 60 inch TV.

I know it won't look great, but it can't look as bad as when i try to play the original FF7 on my TV

I just said composite cables WONT WORK for playing PSP GAMES on your tv.

To play PSP games you need COMPONENT cables because PSP games are progressive scan. COMPOSITE cables only work for PSP movies, since those are interlaced, just like DVDs.

recently i was thinking about purchasing that component cable it was looking around n i typed in psp in monoprice.com (no im not advertising lol) n found one for $7.50 i guess im getting it sooner than i thought lol but they only have the component one

idn why they wouldnt sell the other one oh well!!
