Need Help With Finding Player - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys.

I got a Sony Blu ray player from Costco but im returning it today because I want to connect it via HDMI to my TV for video and via Optical to my reciever for audio and it wont let me. Does anyone know how to do this or what player can? My receiver is old but works well and my TV has HDMI. Thanks!

playstation 3 will work just fine for that

a ps3 can do both hdmi for the future when you want to upgrade and for the present, optical.
think all players have hdmi not sure about optical besides the ps3.

Playststion 3 is definitely the best player. It has both HDMI and optical.

I have an S300 and I can do this. What player is it?
