Default Stupid UPS

I had my Amazon order delivered here because UPS comes early. I checked this morning and it was sent out for delivery at 5:44 AM. It wasn't on the morning truck that comes at 9:30. Stupid UPS. I leave work soon so now I won't get my order until tomorrow. grrrr.....

i can beat u on that one. i have 2 doors to my house. one off of the main road and one off of a side road where my drive sits. u can also go into the neighbors driveway and see a back door to my house. UPS decided the last one would be a good place to leave my latest PACKAGES!!! that's plural, as in this has happend more than 1x now.

why wouldn't u pull into the driveway and use that door, or at least use the door off of the main road. took 2 days before i found them, luckily it didn't rain.

Ah Baraka, I figured you were anxious for Left 4 Dead or Tropic Thunder.

I could go on a DHL rant, I don't like them much at all, but I won't! Aren't they going under anyhow?

I know they closed all physical store front DHL locations in the US. The guy from the mailroom said there are two UPS deliveries everyday. One early and a UPS ground around 4:30. I figured with 2nd day air it would have been in the first drop off.

I have had them leave stuff in my roommates broke down truck before.... with no note. I waited for over a month to get my HDDVD a-2 back no telling how long it was in that truck.

I have also had them throw my package in the driveway.... Why I dont know. But I came real close to running it over.

I have had posters in tubes left in the rain... with no plastic covers.

I know they are on a time contraint, but damn.

mine were posters that got left outside. and then some business supplies once. they did do me the curtisey of leaving my Incredible Hulk Poster rigth behind the entry way door so that when u walked in, you stepped on the tube. nice. thankfully, no damage done.

I had two turntables and a DJ mixer delivered to me via UPS once - when the box arrived, it had huge dents in all sides and looked like it had literally been dropped kicked right in the "Fragile" sticker. I took lots of photos before I opened it.

Months later, I was talking to someone who said they used to work for UPS in the warehouse. I asked him, "did you guys take things that said "fragile" or "handle with care" and kick them around just for fun?"

He said "oh totally, all the time."

I hate UPS.

my brother in laws twin brother (he's my drinking buddy @ the bon fires) used to work for ups unloading trucks. they would give u like an hour i think to unload an entire truck yourself. he said you didn't care what the box was, the truck had to be unloaded after whatever time frame they gave you, which wasn't long, no matter what it took.

needless to say, precaution wasn't used.

Totally! Think about what happens to your food in restaurants. I worked in a highly rated French restaurant in the Detroit area when I was in high school. You don't even want to know.

That said, my UPS guy has been pretty decent. But, when I liven in Birmingham, AL, I actually watched the guy jump out of the truck and put an "attempted delivery" notice on my door without even knocking and take off.

If you use UPS a lot, this December, leave a nice gift. It will make all the difference in the world. Do this for the mail carrier, too.

I worked as an unloader for a while as well. Yeah, you have to fly getting those things emptied out. I didn't see a lot of people just mashing boxes for the fun of it, as we were so busy. However, if one fell on you... (and they often did because things shift in transit)

I use to own a 9mm carbine. I had to send it in for service, and they sent it back via UPS. They always send their items requiring a signature, but the bone-head driver decided to leave a fully functional gun sitting by my front door all day, in plain sight of anyone driving by.

I also knew a UPS delivery guy who was fired twice (justified both times) and both times, the union got his firing overturned.

Something similar happened to me recently. I took the day off work because I knew the speakers I ordered were arriving that day. I was in my living room (room closest to my front door) and got to the end of my chapter, so I decided I would go outside for a smoke. I opened the door and nearly ran over the UPS guy posting a delivery attempted sticker on my door. I looked at him and he shrugged sheepishly, "Well I guess I gotta go get the box now." Yeah, I guess so, pal.
