Default seeking big daddys help!! or anyone else as well!!

you are a very wise man and i need your help. im wanting to start the tweaking process of my system. id like to know if my receiver allows to me to adjust each speakers crossover. i could not figure it out and would love to adjust it for the best sound. with that being said, what do you recommend for my settings on my speakers listed in my signature? right now my sub is at 120hz and the receiver has everything else at 80hz across the board. thanks for yours or anyone elses help on this topic!!!

1) almost positive that you can't adjust the crossover on the Left vs Right fronts independently (for example)

2) someone can't give you "Ideal" settings, since every room is different, and the sound of the room itself will determine the crossover settings as much as the equipment.

These are the frequency responses of your speakers:

Klipsch Icon WF 35: 50Hz-23kHz +/-3dB
Klipsch Icon WC -24: 85Hz-23kHz +/-3dB
  • On the back of the sub, turn the crossover all the way up to its highest point. You set the crossover in the receiver.
  • On the back of the sub, set the level to around 65%.
  • In the receiver's menu, set the high pass filter of the the WF 35 to 60Hz or 80Hz.
  • In the receiver's menu, set the high pass filter of the WC-24 to 100Hz.
  • In the receiver's menu, set the low pass filter (LPF) of the subwoofer to 120Hz.
  • If your receiver does not allow you to set the crossovers of the individual speakers, you need to set the crossover to 80Hz or 90Hz.
  • In the receiver's menu, set the subwoofer to LFE.
  • Run the calibration program and make sure the speaker levels are matched.

no you cannot adjust each ch's crossover individually. Your settings are about right, 80hz is a good place to set your crossover, and your subs crossover should be turned all the way up (im sure that is 120 or something near). Check out the pioneer receiver thread, there are some good links there

defiently take a look at the avs fourm mcaa setup thread it will really help you get the best from your receiver.
