what's the cause of the stuttering? (mainly cgi cutscenes)

Just wanted to see what main cause of stuttering that occurs occassionally, mainly in cgi cutscenes I've noticed? It happens alot when screen pans on cgi cutscenes. Noticed it while playing ratchet and clank demo at the very start when camera pans down there is slight stuttering, also on force unleashed cutscenes it happens some, heavenly sword, etc. Does it have to do with the frame rate they used?

Could be a lot of things, depends on the game. Stuttering is caused by low or inconsistent framerates, and generally speaking, any cutscene rendered in-game can potentially stutter if the game engine is working too hard to display everything and/or loading new objects into the game world for purposes of the cutscene.
