i have a bose cinemate system and my question is, is there a better way of putting the subwoofer? any special direction or in a corner or anything to make it sound better??? beacause for some reason my sub does not hit that hard. by the way i have this in a regular bedroom

I have always had best luck with mine in the corner on the room.

The best explaination is provided by Big Daddy in the subwoofer section. https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=95817 He gives some great information on the subwoofer and where it should be located in the room. If it is in a corner then you can get a nice dB boost. Read over the thread, you will find it useful! A subwoofer provides nondirectional sound so it does not matter how it is placed (front firing/down firing).

Two other links that are really good:
Guide to subwoofers Part I & II
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=43669
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=48286

If you are confused then that is alright!! Big Daddy provides a lot of information and I don't even have understand it all!

The Bose Acoustimass bass module/subwoofer can't go low enough for for hard hitting bass. It only goes down to 46Hz( the Acoustimass system ignores audible signal from 20Hz to 45Hz on the low end (deep bass) ). Putting it in a corner might help, also try pointing the sub port into the corner &/or elevating your sub with a riser/isolator. If these tips don't work, you might have to replace your sub with a better performing one.

Unlike speakers, subs are not directional but it may sound different depending on whether it's in a corner or away from one.

Adding polyfill to the cabinet can make the sub "sound bigger." It is the stuff inside pillows, and it costs like $2-3. If you loosely fill the cabinet up, you may get better bass response. It is an easy and cheap "tweak" that may work in your case.

You can read Big Daddy's sticky https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=74527 here, to read up on polyfill and how it may help your situation.
