Angry My 4-year-old FINALLY scratched some Blus!

My 4-year-old LOVES Star Wars The Clone Wars: The Complete First Season, and one day while I was away, and my wife and mother-in-law were watching him...he apparently took those Blus out and ended up walking on them while they were face-down on our hard-wood floors!

Grrr!

Some innocent, but nice line scratches on the Blus were the result and now they either will not play, or skip certain sections of the Episodes.

I am gonna have to buy that set again, damn!

Any ideas on how to fix those scratched Blus?

taking a lighter to the bottom of them should do the trick if you're ballsy enough!!!

i've heard numerous people try this w/success on cd's and dvd's as well as blu's.

if they are shot and don't play anyway, why not give it a try.

I thought Blu's were un-scratchable?

Interesting -- will have to try when the 4-year-old is sleeping. GOD ONLY KNOWS what kinds of ideas that would give him!

Bad time to decide not to start smoking I guess

Unless you give a four year old a chance.

Another thread suggested a hair dryer. AS previously said, if they are buggered, give it a try and let us know the results.

yeah, just run it over the scratches back and forth but not so much that it melts!!!

my daughter will be 4 on 2/1/10 and she's getting into watching movies a lot now too.

i've rearranged my movie cabinet b/c of this, all of her movies are on the bottom (dvd's) and all of the blu's (even hers) are moved to the top so she can't reach them.

Oh yes! Kids can pretty much destroy anything they come in contact with if given the chance

I hope some of the solutions that are given work for you. Would be bad to have to re-buy the set

I feel your pain!! Before I had kids I had all my (then) dvd's in racks downstairs in my movie (family) room. After I had kids I moved ALL movies upstairs in my office.

That was almost 10 years ago-- the rule still remains today-- "if I;m not around only mom can get and put in the blu-ray movies!"

even that is iffy in my house!!! my wife has a tendancy to open the cases, hold it by the non-disc side, and let the weight of the disc flop open the case so it bends 90 degrees!!!

i hate that!!!

I've brought unplayable CD's back to life with two purchases. Optrix and Mikro-Smooth from Maple Shade Records. I've also got some great CD's from them.

Don't get me wrong, I think kids are great and I love them, as long as they belong to someone else
