Default Scratched CD Repair Kit

I just wanted to share a recent experience with you all. I recently received a Mapleshade Records catalog. While looking through it, I came across a page of products that claim they can fix scratched unplayable CD's.

I was skeptical. But, I decided to try it out. The product is MikroSmooth and is $19.95. I also decided to add Optrix, a CD cleaner, for another $19.95.

Well, I got them yesterday. I tried out the disc that I was most upset about, Rolling Stones: Forty Licks. Disc 1 would not play the last half of the disc. In my Oppo, it would just keep making a click and loop, like it was stuck. In my computer, it would play, but it would jump back and forth between a few songs. Disc 2 was far better, but still had issues playing the last two songs.

Well, I have to say that I'm a very happy camper today. Both discs play perfectly and as a matter of fact, I think they sound BETTER than they did before. Maybe it was psychological, but I swear I heard details that were missing before (through computer speaker BTW). I can't wait to hear it through my main speakers.

I have a few other discs that are scratched, but I need to dig my CD's out of storage.

Additionally, I ordered some CD's from them and am really happy with my choices. They are not mainstream artists, but I like to experience new artists that I would not normally hear on the radio.
