Of course, the movie or show is what matters most, but I admit that I do get irritated when I see a relatively expensive release is barebones.
It bugs me because one of the original selling points of Blu was how much space they had compared to a DVD and how the extras were going to be overflowing with all great stuff. Sadly, we learned early on that this was not going to be the case when many titles came out on Blu and didn't even replicate what had been on the DVD. Why? Well, who knows, but I am not a huge fan of labels like Olive and their single layer, barebones releases. It won't sway me from buying a title I really want, but it has on some where I'm not so committed to having it in my collection. |
