Default PS3 - Very Odd Problem!

We are having huge thunderstorms with lightning and thunder. Lots of it. Some of it is really intense to the point it shakes the house. Most times its not that rough.

Here is the problem. We never lost power, but did have some brown outs. I understand this killed some things. That's normal.

However, whenever there is very loud thunder or close lightning (not sure which), my PS3 is the only thing that cuts off. It has done this 5 times now. Nothing else dims or cuts off. Not my computer, hubs, switches, modem or lights. Everything else stays on. The PS3 is the only thing that turns off. Anyone have any clues why?

I even switched outlets just for shits and giggles because I thought it was the outlet. Nope. I have this plugged into a little ups. Don't think that has anything to do with it. If anything it should prevent power dips I would think.

Any ideas?
