Halo 3 and Resistance

Has anyone else noticed the similarities between halo 3 and resistance?

2 completely different games, I have both and neither play the same, maybe the left button throws grenades, but that is it...well and the health regen, but in resistance you can hold all weapons, as opposed to halo's only 2 at a time, and resistance doesn't suck like halo 3 does....ding ding come ride the hype wagon

Halo 3 is far superior to Resistance.. I am sorry I like resistance but its not as fun as Halo 3. Call me a microsoft fanboy or whatever cause thats how everyone attacks people these days but its a simple fact that halo 3 is a better overall game than resistance.

I enjoyed them about the same. I was more impressed graphically with Resistance (less jaggies and more going on in some scenes and better quality char models -- just a bit more bland environments) and found the weapons and gameplay to be a little bit more entertaining.

I really enjoyed Halo 3 because it finished off the story arc -- there really isn't anything to complain about (in either game really -- both are top of class FPS games). Overall I'd rate them about equivalent as far as quality of game and gameplay/story (if you take them on their own and ignore the hype) and both are impressive graphically (on a technical and artistic level).

Definitely worth owning both if you can. Can't wait for Resistance 2 and a new story arc for Halo

I am not going to call you a fan boy and if you are that is fine, nor do I wish to take away any enjoyment you derive from Halo 3. However, it is your opinion that Halo 3 is better, superior and more fun, than resistance, not a fact.

I am not quite sure what point you are trying to make. However, in answer to your question... no. I do not allow other people's opinions to determine my ability to judge the superiority of product "a" over "b". I might listen to their opinion, and I could agree with them but to say one person's opinion or even a groups' opinion is fact is ridiculous.

All I am saying is that someone can think it is better, and others can think it is similar to another game, it does not really matter and they can debate it if they wish, just don't call your opinion a fact.

Collective belief does not make it fact, this is reality not the Colbert Nation or Wikipedia.

My opinion is Resistance is better than Halo 3, although, I thought the gameplay in Halo 1 was was excellent. But I do prefer resistance on Next Gen consoles.

Of course opinions are subjective and are not facts, but in my opinion, it's a fact that Halo 3 is better than Resistance (even though I loved Resistance).

I only played Halo 3 for a little bit as I don't own a XBOX360 so I played at a friends house. It was pretty fun but I'm not sure if I'd even buy it if I had the system. Resistence is much more fun to me...then again maybe it's just from playing it a lot.

My point exsatcly, both great games. Althought to be fair you would have to compare Halo 1, first in the series to Resistance. Yes resistance has better graphics but it is a newer game. But looking at both series as the original one. Both great games.
Resistance borrow alot from Halo to be as good as it is. Now story line wow, they are both bad ass that's all i have to say. I like the narration on resistance better with the drawings than the cut scenes from Halo, but once again different time and era for both.

To the OP yes Resistance got most of its mechanics from Halo, my personal opinion.

I love Resistance, I sat down to play H3 and was bored to tears. It is good, but cant touch RFOM. By the way I loved the previous two Halo's, so no bias here.

Side note again disappointed in the single player, way too short. Shave off about two hours of Heavenly Sword and that is how long it is.

LOL, sure! I have both and halo 3 is better in sound and music score, control and the halo story is much more thought out then RFM by far. **** bioshock is better then RFM.

I have both and like both pretty equally. If you have a PS3 but no Xbox 360 I don't think that Halo 3 is nearly good enough to recommend buying one. If you have an Xbox 360 but no PS3 I think you should get a PS3 not b/c of Resistance but b/c it is as good as any blu-ray player in its price range and you get to play PS2 and PS3 games on it, plus it has built in wi-fi, free online gaming, internet browsing, and it upscales regular dvds beautifully.

For me the major problem with Warhawk is it's multiplayer-only game. Although I play Multi-player games, I prefer single-player/Co-op story modes.

Graphics are not the only thing that sells games, if it was then the Wii would be sitting on shelves gathering dust.
