Halo 3 and Resistance - Blu-ray Forum

My opinion is Resistance is better than Halo 3, although, I thought the gameplay in Halo 1 was was excellent. But I do prefer resistance on Next Gen consoles.

Of course opinions are subjective and are not facts, but in my opinion, it's a fact that Halo 3 is better than Resistance (even though I loved Resistance).

I only played Halo 3 for a little bit as I don't own a XBOX360 so I played at a friends house. It was pretty fun but I'm not sure if I'd even buy it if I had the system. Resistence is much more fun to me...then again maybe it's just from playing it a lot.

LOL... look at that helmet, good luck getting a gf after showing her your super dorky toy.

I would buy Halo 3 if I owned an xbox but that helmet has super geek written all over it.

And thanks for worrying about my love life, but I have no problem meeting girls. In fact, the girl I'm seeing now LOVES Halo and is jealous of my super geeky helmet, really.

Well, a lot of this off topic nature is that Halo is a sensitive subject in the game world. It is the crown jewel of the M$ empire in the console world and though not many will admit it now, I think it is the reason most bought the 360. Gears of War came out of the gate and stole its thunder so it required a load of advert dollars to try and get Halo 3 back in the limelight. To argue who is what and which is who will get nowhere and had the game not been so over hyped in the media and this whole "biggest media launch of all time" crap then no one would really care. I do think it is wrong to make a game sort of half cocked like Halo 3, I have heard comments from all sorts from die hard Xbox fans to people like me who just enjoy games in general and all of them were not impressed, some were down right mad since they waited in line to get it. I have seen the game and thought it was weak to release it since so many games surround it with better detail and effects but if you enjoy the game then all power to ya. Oh and I think the latest number I saw was around 3 or 4 billion in losses since M$ entered the console race and growing. There will be no profit from the game or console, their hole gets deeper and deeper.

My point exsatcly, both great games. Althought to be fair you would have to compare Halo 1, first in the series to Resistance. Yes resistance has better graphics but it is a newer game. But looking at both series as the original one. Both great games.
Resistance borrow alot from Halo to be as good as it is. Now story line wow, they are both bad ass that's all i have to say. I like the narration on resistance better with the drawings than the cut scenes from Halo, but once again different time and era for both.

To the OP yes Resistance got most of its mechanics from Halo, my personal opinion.

I love Resistance, I sat down to play H3 and was bored to tears. It is good, but cant touch RFOM. By the way I loved the previous two Halo's, so no bias here.

Side note again disappointed in the single player, way too short. Shave off about two hours of Heavenly Sword and that is how long it is.

LOL, sure! I have both and halo 3 is better in sound and music score, control and the halo story is much more thought out then RFM by far. **** bioshock is better then RFM.

I have both and like both pretty equally. If you have a PS3 but no Xbox 360 I don't think that Halo 3 is nearly good enough to recommend buying one. If you have an Xbox 360 but no PS3 I think you should get a PS3 not b/c of Resistance but b/c it is as good as any blu-ray player in its price range and you get to play PS2 and PS3 games on it, plus it has built in wi-fi, free online gaming, internet browsing, and it upscales regular dvds beautifully.

First of all Bioshock has a better single player than both. Second I was talking about multiplayer. Third I like the single player better on Resistance and that's my opinion. So take your LOL and shove it up your @$$.

I love blu-ray and no I haven’t bought any PS3 games except for RFOM. But I plan on getting metal gear solid. They are just no game I like out for the system yet.
