Default Great move by my local Best Buy!

I was at Best Buy today after work just to get Knocked Up on DVD (damn Universal). Being the fool I am, I splurged and also Bought 5 Movie's on Blu-ray. They were: Planet Earth, Crank, Deja Vu, Pearl Harbor & The Prestige. My Credit Card is starting to hate me.

What made me feel better was their Blu-ray's now have more shelves than HD-DVD's. I took these pictures w/ my cell phone so I'm not sure how good they are. The first picture is showing that Blu-ray has 3 shelves that have been picked through quite often as they were a lot of missing titles that where there a few days ago. The second one is showing the 2 FULLY STOCKED shelves. And I am not kidding when I say this because I am biased towards Blu-ray: It looked like the HD-DVD's were HARDLY touched at all.

If you look at the pictures of the HD-DVD's, those two shelves use to be split up evenly where HD-DVD has 1 shelf, and Blu-ray had one. Well now, HD-DVD's took over those two shelves where as Blu-ray got it's own and they pretty much tripled their stock of Blu-ray. I was quite pleased to see it too.

Here are the pictures:

Sounds good, but don't tell me you paid $99 for Planet earth while you can get it at Amazon for $67.

No sir. I used three $20.00 Best Buy Gift Cards so it was $30.00.

Your credit card will only hate you if you pay off your balance in full every month. So don't do that, let it accumulate and it will give you a sweet interest rate as a present every month.

This is a great news by BD. more titles available for the consumers. it proves how much studio support they got. which is why it led BB to create more room.

this is good news.

Those are some pretty awesome picture. I wish my best buy would do that. I was down there about an hour ago to pick up the Fountain on blu ray. Which puts my up to 4 purchases this month .

My BB have the same amount of shelf space and end caps for both formats. I'm hoping they expand BD soon.

mine has the same space for BD and DuD...but we are refluxing the movie section in the next few weeks...idk what is going to change...I know the HD movies are getting more sections...I don't know what the ratio will be...but here are a few pics to show how BD is doin at my store

I took the pics over the past few weeks. Every tues and thurs we get trucks in...after I sorted all the movies on the trucks I took these pics of the stacks of BD and HDDVD

These is the general ratio every week of what we get in blu-ray compared to HDDVD...yet if you look out on the floor...they look about even in numbers....shows you how much blu is moving compared to hddvd

This one is my personal doing...everytime we have an endcap or display like this...I find myself doing these things... :-D

my best buy has so many blu-ray movies that they had to put some extra copies in a whole different part of the store just because there is so many Blu-Ray movies and Hd-Dvd is only like 2 shelves and as for blu-ray its 2 shelves plus a whole other section thats dedicated to blu-ray only

HUH????

This title is absolutely everywhere in the BestBuys where I live (Chicago area). Actually it gets a bit boring after awhile since it is practically on every shelf. This being said, I am not sure how many copies WB shipped/manufactured but Chicago clearly has too many (I have been to 11 different locations in the last 2 weeks).

On the other hand when I looked for Underwodl at my closest store...I could not find it. Go figure.
