I was talking to a buddy of mine who was considering buying a Wii. He has a standard definition TV and the system would mostly be for his son. As I talked to him I worked in a number of positives about the PS3. As many here already understand, it's the best value for all of the systems out there.
A few days later I talked to him again and he came to the decision to buy a PS2. As he described the thought process it made all the sense in the world! His kid is what he referred to as "heavy handed" and since the system was for him, it would be easier to take if a $100 system got broken rather than the $400 one. He's not considering HD for another few years and in the meantime, the games he buys will be cheaper and will still be usable on the PS3 when he eventually buys one. Hard to argue with this logic and it keeps money away from Nintendo and M$. Did I miss anything in my argument to him that you think is a compelling reason, in his situation, to step up to the PS3 now? |
