Question Blu-ray DVD player slow startup?

Hi new to forums...

I bought a Plasma TV, decided I would get a HDDVD Player, but then saw Toshiba is no longer investing in that tech, so I went back and bought a Sony Blue Ray player at Costco...

I noticed that both the Toshiba and Sony Blue Ray players take a long time to "warm up" They say "welcome" the loading, etc... my old school regular DVD player fired right and was ready to go.... I got to get to my "debby does dallas" Blue ray edition as soon as possible!!! (joking)

but it is a little annoying, I have to plan, turn on blue ray DVD, go make popcorn, come back put in blue ray planet earth...

btw, I used search function first, it just gave me a blank page...

thanks in advance,

chris
