Default Dumb Question

Does anyone know if there will be any Blu Ray Players with AES/EBU output or is there any one who can tell me why the PS3 can output 176khz but not 96 over optical? Doesn't make sense.

I would suspect that if one did the Goldmund BD would be a candidate but i can't find any connection info on it. So far the more expensive Denon, Pioneer and Marantz units do not support AES/EBU. Give it time, i'm sure someone will soon™.

As for the PS3, no clue.

Yeah. I hope someone does. HDMI is nice but AES cables just work so nicely with all my Genelecs. 192khz direct input speakers are great The Goldmund at least has S/PDIF output which with an impedance converter is easy to convert into AES with a 75/110 converter from neutrik.
