Default All the HDDVD fan publications only report doom about Blu-ray

Any one else noticed this? For instance, every article I have seen on Blu-ray (Electronic House as an example) after HDDVD's demise has been about poor blu-ray sales, a non consumer-friendly technology, poor future projections, etc....

I guess it was predictable.

Just because MS has lost the HD DVD FUD vehicle ... doesn't mean they aren't still in a war with Sony over being the gateway into people's home. So you will see a constant trashing of Blu-ray just like you saw the continuous crap from places like AVS. So yes it's predictable.

microsoft just wants to stall bluray as much as possible. When the first digital download media player comes out in a couple years, microsoft dooesnt want bluray to be the next "dvd", they want it to be the next laser-disc

theyre kinda doing the same thing the republicans did to John Kerry in the 04 election, by branding him with a bad nickname so they can refer to him as a joke (flip flop)

Microsofts originally wanted to stall BLU with HD DVD, that didnt work so i guess they'll resort to using their power to make all reviews for bluray bad.

jerks

Honestly, the offerings have been pretty shallow since we won the war. A good title here and there, but nothing that appeals to the masses since Ice Age, or any of the Disney Pixar films.

I don't even see Transformers on the schedule for this year. They would be IDIOTS not to have the blu-ray version out for Christmas. It sold like crazy for HD DVD during the war.

Michael Bay, what are you doing, dude? Don't get all "George Lucas" on us and make us wait.

Ya I guess the Mummy Movies will not appeal to the masses at all. or any of the other titles comming out this summer. Then there is that Batman Begins Blu Ray you are right that wont sell at all

The grapes are still very sour for many former HD-DVD customers.

Of course the title releases for Blu-ray the last couple of months have been pretty thin. That's just how it goes this time of year. It's all the more reason to laugh at the FUD articles constantly coming out about "poor Blu-ray disc sales."

They need to try checking back on Blu-ray sales levels near the end of the year when a larger, better variety of BD titles is resting on store shelves.

You have to remember there is a natural built in fanbase for articles like this. Apparently many of the HD DVD owners really thought it would be around forever. They are disillusioned about HD media in general because their chosen format died. Once they get a BD player it will change.

There's no such thing as HD DVD. Therefore, no need to discuss it on a BD forum.

The moment Toshiba threw in the towel the hardline hd dvd supporters started in with the downloads will ruin blu-ray.
This is such obvious bs.
After the mandatory hd broadcast switch in Feb. 2009 most U.S. homes will be sporting hd tvs and a new found appreciation for the vast difference in quality that hd brings.

And it is also inevitably predicable that you will get a response like this when you make a post for the sake of discussion and to confirm with others that your observation is not solitary.

It is arrogance that offers no benefit to the discussion, and makes one wonder why if indeed it is such a careless subject why one would bother to waste time clicking reply, banging out a message on a keyboard, and hitting submit.

Oh my, I just came to the realization I have just wasted my time venting about your waste of time....

There are still some people that feel bitter about the "format war". It is really sad that they are unable to move on, and enjoy the best home movie watching experience in the face of the planet.

There will always be cynical jerks who think they know everything and everyone else is stupid. As this article proves, it is very easy to be negative about everything and support nothing.

If HD-DVD were the prevailing technology (yeah, in bizarro world), they'd be moaning about it's limitations right now. If digital download ever takes off (it won't, for so many reasons it's hardly worth discussing), then these jokers will be crashing down on that, as well.

The best thing to do with such negative people is to tell them your opinion, tell them they're full of crap, give them the finger, and go on with your day. Here's my middle finger for that publication:
up yours, and have fun with your defunct HD-DVD xbox add-on drive. This sky isn't falling, go find somewhere else to throw your little stones.
