Default Weekly PS3 sales in Japan rise to over 75K

WEEKLY PS3 SALES IN JAPAN RISE TO OVER 75K

77,208 PS3's for the week ending June 15
476,334 copies of MGS4 sold in just four days

Hopefully they can keep this up. I hope SIREN is pushed hard in the press because I found the demo to be brilliantly fun - not just atmospheric for a horror title.

This will be interesting cause system sales really did not get a boost (or boost they where hoping for) from GTAIV, the big question is, will MGS4 be the system seller, it is suppose to be?

I guess this is a good answer to that question for first week in a major region, but yeah, lets see what the total month's numbers are for all regions..

Gta sound a ton of ps3, but I think metal gear put sony ps3 at probably at least 16,000,000 world wide by next month.

I'm surprised how well the PSP's been selling so long after Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G's release. It's been the top selling system for a few months now.

Now bring on Motorstorm 2, Resistance 2, Killzone 2 and Home and then lets see where the PS3 is! Is VGchartz updated because it has to be more than around 13 million?
