UK blu-ray and HD-DVD discs on Play.com

Play.com has updated its list of available movies again.

HD-DVD has dropped from 19 titles to 6

Blu-Ray has increased from 41 to 53

Either Play are having trouble getting hold of HD-DVD's, or they are taking sides...!

Amazon.co.uk show a lot more HD-DVD's available for the UK, so I wonder what Play.com's reason is for dropping the number of titles?

There is only one Warner release in the upcoming. That is odd.

Practically everything on the site is Universal (for HD DVD).

Lots of Fox titles for BD. Hopefully they will all get release dates here too...

I didn't realise Rocky Balboa was a Sony movie - so that's another blu-ray exclusive. I'll get Rocky on blu-ray, it's a classic and I hope to see Balboa in the cinema soon - it's currently the number 1 movie in the UK

Hmm, but that would suggest then that the only way to get the entire set of movies is on blu-ray? If Balboa is a Sony Picture movie then it will be blu-ray only.

It does seem a bit strange though, why there are fewer HD-DVDs to chose from???

Amazon are showing 215 H-DVDs against 206 Blu-ray

Are most of the BR's on amazon actually UK discs?
I was having a look last night and most say all regions, some say nothing at all.

For example they had Little Man on BR, it stated no region.. but I dont remember it being realesed over here on BR?
