I Am Wanting A Blu Ray Player. But The Price Of The Players Is Too Expensive And The Ps3 Does Many Things Not Just One. So Which One Should I Get If All I Am Going To Use It For Is Movies. I Have An Xbox 360 Right Now And That's For My Games. Please Help.

The 20GB PS3 lacks WiFi, card reader, and has a smaller hard drive naturally. The GB hard drive can always be replaced with a bigger one but the card reader and wifi can't be altered. But youcan always use a wireless bridge if you need to later.
If you're on a budget the 20GB isn't a bad choise unless you absolutely need the reader and wifi. |

If you are buying it as a Blu-Ray player get the 20 gig.

The 20 GB will serve you well as a BD player. But, if you have the cash to spare, spent the extra 100 and get the 60 GB.

If you have a working PS2 you can exchange it at Gamestop for $100 off the purchase toward a PS3.

Depends on your needs.
Even if you want just for playback, I suggest being aware that you'll prolly want at least a single game for it eventually. So bear that in mind when weighing things ![]() WiFi is nice if you don't want to bother with running Cat5/Cat6 to the console. You'll want network connectivity at least occasionally to do a system update. That said, if you want to make use of the speed, the wired connection is alot faster. The only real 'hard' advantage WiFi has with the PS3 is going to be with RemotePlay for your PSP. And that's extremely minor. The card reader. I used it to migrate music and such from my PSP to my PS3 primarily. I can also, theoretically use it to migrate pictures from my Digital Camera to my PS3 slightly easier, but that's a bit silly in my opinion. Might be easier to rip from the PS3 to PSP this way, but again, it's a really minor point. And the hard-drive. If disk space is important, get the 20gb, and spend the 100$ difference on a hard-drive yourself. You'll get more space out of it. That said, I went with 60gb, I have a PSP myself and didn't want to mess with cabling. |

While I will agree the 60 gig is a far better deal, if you are only buying a Blu-Ray player all you need is the 20. Plus as someone said, trade in a ps2 and get 100 bucks off. Thats a blu ray player for 399 bucks.

Even a mediocre 802.11g connection is capable of 36Mps, which is several times faster than the fastest possible home internet connection (cable or dsl) can deliver. The bottleneck is your ISP, not your wireless router. A wired connection may be more stable than wireless, but it is not any faster. |

I say go with the 20GB version and do the whole gamestop deal with the ps2 so you get $100 off. You really cant go wrong. If you need a larger HDD, you can get one later on.
you need: a working ps2. two controllers 1 memory card to be elgible for this deal. |

Depend what your budget is.
You decide what is best for you. 20gb or 60gb. That is your choice. It is free country to make choice. I would go with 60gb so I can update firmwire as I watch blu-ray movies. About DSL and wireless. My wired connection at my home is capable of doing 100mbp and wireless connection are capable of 54mbp. Depend how good signal you have in coverage with wireless router and expander range. Not all models have same speed of mbp. |
