Can't watch BR movies on my PS3 - Blu-ray Forum

So I'm an idiot and set my PS3 to default by accident and now the BR picture won't come up. Does anyone know where I have to go to configure it so I can watch BR movies again. When i pop the disc in and select it from my PS3 it flickers 2x and then it says no signal but I can hear it. When I eject the disc from the machine I can clearly see the PS3 menu

I am set up through HDMI and sound through optical. I have a 40" samsung.

I've also tried setting up my wireless connection and failed but thats another story

Congratulations on f*cking up! The best advice I can tell is: Mess with the settings that relate to BD settings but don't make the same mistake.

just keep your finger on the power button until it resets itself and all should be good. Its just a soft reset, so all it does is reset settings not your saved data.

Either one of two possibilities:

1) You set your HDTV settings at a higher resolution than it can handle. 1080p instead of 1080i.

2) You set your HDTV settings to play BDs at 1080p at 24 Hz as ON, instead of AUTO or OFF, when your HDTV can't handle 1080p 24Hz playback.
