It's also interesting from a business perspective. They are clearly a bit concerned that people will not upgrade/buy their systems because of confusion around HDMI 1.1 vs 1.3 and the various benefits (or not) around who/where the processing is performed etc..and I think they have reason to be...given their market.

For example, should I upgrade my AVM to get the HDMI ports and the Gennum(sp?) video processor? Right now I have the HDMI from the PS3 directly to the T.V and toslink for the audio portion. I'm not sure it will be worth the upgrade price for lossless audio or how much benefit the new video processor would add to what the PS3 is providing directly connected to the T.V.

Anyone that can add some insight on either the audio or video benefits of upgrading?
