Best European Blu-ray player available?

Hey there,

I've tried posting in the "Help me get a BD player" thread but I don't think a lot of people go check there, so I've decided to make a new thread for my query.
Other European folks can of course get something out of this thread so it's not such a loss.

I've recently been looking for a region-free Blu-ray player available in France but I've come to realise that no such player existed (yet). So I've been trying to find the best player available which I could then have a go at making region free or something. I think one of Panasonic's caught my eye with all its abilities but I'm not too sure.

Before anyone answers that, I do have a PS3 already. I just wanted a standalone player and make it region free to import movies from the US.

I'm just wondering which one is the best available on the European market (thus most probably on the French one) at the moment.

Sorry if this is considered useless or flooding. I would just like some pointers.
