Humble HT in the Family Room - Blu-ray Forum

Hi All,

Hope that all is well.

Thought I share some pics of my HT family room. The front sofa is about 11 feet from a 58" Plasma TV. The back sofa is raised about 2" which provides a clear view of the TV. My HT units are a mix bag of old and new which seem to complement each other quite well.

Marantz SR6003 as a pre-pro
Anthem Amp MCA5
PS3
OPPO HD981
Panamax Line conditioner
HD Cable Box PVR
External SATA hard drive for extra PVR storage
Monitor Audio Speakers GS20 and GS-LCR.
Paradigm Monitor 5 for rears
Paradigm PSW220 sub

I Like The Tv It Looks Good Great Gear. What Do You Have The 2nd Sofa On? Did You Make It Or Buy It And Is It Solid Great Idea Good Job

Don't know why you are calling it humble, I think it looks great! Very clean, sweet equipment... good work

Lemme know what you think of my HT if you get the chance... now MINE would be called humble, I think!

COMPARED TO SOME OF THE HT ALL OF OURS ARE HUMBLE, AS LONG AS THEY SOUND GOOD TO US AND MAKE US HAPPY WHO CARES !!! JUST REMEMBER IT WOULD SUCK IF WE DIDN'T HAVE ONE AT ALL ...

You are so right Bubbas, some of the amazing HT here is why I considered my set up as nothing out of the ordinary.

The second sofa is supported by a old IKEA kitchen table top. Table is turned upside down to provide a more stable platform. Only modifications I had to do was to extend the two pieces of wood to support the full wide of the table. One would never have guess that it was a table top used as a riser.
