Found one on these in the box on craigslist for $500. Is that a decent price?

have them hook it up to a source such as their sat or cable box to see if theres any lip sync problems. and dont just watch one channel, scroll thru and see if you can find a local channel there then watch a digital channel of some sort like HBO, and check out ESPN too, it'll show up during interviews, ive seen it happen. if everything ok, id offer them 450. Wudnt do 500 because i've seen them go for far less than that on ebay.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN THE LIP SYNC THING ON CABLE OR BLU RAYS OR GAMES. I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT ON ESPN DURRING INTERVIEWS OR ANYTHING.

ok maybe your unit has 1.08 firmware in it, that update fixes it. I also didnt mean to IMPLY that ALL 805's had this, just was telling the OP to check for it based from my own experience and this thread.

Bought a "used-like new" 805 from amazon last night for $624. Going to check it out, and have my uncle (electrical engineer) look at it. If it runs fine with no lip sync problems, then I'll keep it. But if there is serious issues with this unit, I'm returning it for an unfortunate 806

MY BAD I DIDNT MEAN TO COME OFF RUDE, MAYBE MINE HAS THE FIRMWARE. I WAS JUST SAYING IT WORKS GREAT AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT OF ANY KIND. FOR 500 BUCKS HOW DO YOU BEAT THAT DEAL

I'm almost positive that even if you have lip-sync issues, it has a feature where you can adjust the delay to make up for it (most receivers don't and many do have that problem).
