Otherwise consider your 2004 DVD lightsaber incorrect colour assertion to be debunked.
That's what I don't understand. membres of ot.com wants the UOT out and hate the changes that George lucas made to his saga, but they worship editions that were altered by a fan..... it still isn't the UOT. I don't understand.

I really like the new trailer and can't wait to get my hands on these movies.

Do you really not understand that someone can want the UOT AND be interested in an alternate version? It's not exactly a supernatural puzzle, you know.

To me the real alternate version is the special editions.

That's just because fans who want the UOT don't have any problems with altered versions of the films--its about keeping the originals restored and alive, not about the existence of alternate/enhanced versions.

I still think everyone needs to cool off and just wait for the damn discs to actually come out and get reviewed. I know it's Star Wars and it's fun to discuss to death while everyone is impatiently waiting for them, but man, just take your mind off of it until september and then we will all know for sure what the movies look like and what has been altered and what has been left the same.

And believe me, as a fan (of the OT at least), I am VERY curious about this set. I am still on the fence about this release-- for me it really boils down to how good the OT looks, and if there is still color-timing problems or not. The trailer isn't giving me high hopes, but I'm still waiting for the actual reviews.

I've seen it all now

Never ever remotedly while watching Darth Vader in the CINEMA, i ever thought, wow that lightsaber looks magenta always evil red (Yeah and since a lightsaber emits light, in its center the red desaturating to white, making the cinematic illusion that it was a very powerful energy that could cut through everything like a molten white hot core of a sun).

Quoted for correctness.

Logic doesn't apply here. You're either with Lucas or you're against him. And if you're against him, you aren't a true fan and should stop complaining because they're his movies and he can do whatever he want LOL.

Holy Moly, relax

No one will know anything for sure until they are released.

Hopefully they are reference, and I must say, based on the trailer
that is within the realm of possibility.

Avatar br is the best I have ever seen.

While the transfer for these 6 movies will be much trickier due to
their more primitive sources, it does sound like they are shooting for the top.

And personally I don't care what color Vadar's light saber is
as long as it is consistent in all the movies.

You gave it the Fellowship Of The Ring Treatment!!!
Maybe the reason Vader's lightsaber doesn't look red anymore was because red made it seem too heavy!

When do you guys think reviews will start appearing? Does blu-ray.com (or anyone) get access to the set before the rest of us on Sept 16?

While the new lightsaber cross from RotJ is a definite improvement, I was hoping that this shot was genuine.

Really??? Let's look back at some history shall we?

Slug's still there.

I wouldn't be surprised if this whole trailer wasn't taken from the 2004 transfer, with a quick fix on the sabre cross.

And am I wrong, but were there no shots of Yoda in the Empire Strikes Back in this trailer, or any of the Jabba Palace creatures? Or Ewoks?

If not, why not? Dare I say possible digital tweakage?

Just sayin...

That sums it up PERFECTLY! I'm glad to see that shot of the crossed sabers fixed for ROTJ, but anyone who thinks Vader always had a pink saber in ESB needs their bloody heads examined. He NEVER had a pink lightsaber in ESB and any argument to the contrary is pure, unadulterated BS. Period.

Trailer looks great. That new trailer also gives us a nice look at the packaging and what images they used inside. Looks good to me. Cannot wait to get this!

I´ve already seen the new trailer on Yahoo Movies US. Well, what can I say? Pink lightsabers and white boxes surrounding the Tie Fighters ? I didn´t expect those things again.

I´m worried about this set. First Lord of the Rings and the green tint and now this??
