Those 843p screen caps don't look largely better than the 480p DVD screen caps. There is a marginal improvement in fine detail and color saturation, but the most noticeable alteration is that the contrast has been boosted considerably.

I wonder how long it will be before these films are released individually on Blu? It was about two years after the OT was released that we saw separate releases. Personally, I'm only interested in ESB on BD.

Just because an image is brighter does not necessarily mean there is contrast boosting. It could just be that black crush has been alleviated. The only way to be sure is if there has been an increase in white crush. These caps aren't the best scenes to judge that.

Anyways, these aren't even blu-ray caps; they're publicity stills. Who knows what manipulation they've been subjected to? Really, these images are useless in predicting what the blu-rays will deliver.
