With Fox going with the R rating...I would love to see Marvel grow some balls and do an R-rated film in the MCU. Punisher perhaps or a good Ghost Rider film

Depending how well deadpool does, it could open the door for that possibility.

I'm happy to see this moving along so quick. I for sure thought any hope for this movie was dead after Origins. Reynolds is th man.

This production is pissing off A LOT of people in Vancouver right now. The only main thoroughfare out of the downtown core Eastward is an elevated viaduct (extended bridgeway over land instead of water). And they have effectively shut it down for 2 weeks for the Deadpool production. Everyone who tries to leave downtown Vancouver at any point between 5am and about 9pm has to take a 20 block detour (minimum) and deal with about 15 extra street lights on top of all of the excess backed up traffic from the detour.

That sequence better be one hell of a rush for inconveniencing millions of people this way!

I don't drive a car, so all I can do is laugh at the thought everytime I pass under the viaduct in the mornings on the way home from work.

You obviously have never met the large demographic of "no fun" Vancouverites.

That was true for the better part of the last 6 years due to the 2010 Olympics. However, the city is now crawling with productions from ALL KINDS of sources. There are constantly film utility trucks in several locations in the downtown core at any given time. You'd be surprised.

I just want to know at what point did Canada become the source of all science fiction television and b-movies.

Vancouver's been used for years, I'd hazard a guess and say that tax breaks are are making it (and other Canadian cities like Montreal, see: X-Men) even more enticing as of late.

what's worse is the government is going to use it to gauge if they can tear down the viaducts (damn Aquilini's)

the mid 80's kicked it off for tv, well before the X-Files, and then the 90's boom with the tax breaks and low dollar

now with the dollar dipping again it's coming back with quite a vigour
