People have the remember too. This is a weird situation where the people who give it negative reviews maybe just hate all the crude humor and thats why they don't like the movie. Look at Ted 2, hilarious film, but if you don't like crude humor you probably hated it.

Just saw an IMAX presentation of Deadpool and this film is an A+ adaptation of Deadpool. He was always my favorite X-Men character and it's as if the filmmakers knew and loved the comic and 1990s X-Men cartoon to a T. He is perfect - funny, wants to do the right thing, very Russian, and he feels metal unlike the aluminum foiled downgraded version in Singer's X-Mens.

While the movie was funny, don't expect it to be non-stop funny even when the jokes are flowing. That's still Deadpool's character - it has nothing to with jokes not working or not. The only times where I bawled out laughing were ALL scenes involving Deadpool and the two X-Men characters. The chemistry among the three was something quite special and touched an emotional nerve I havent felt in any superhero movie. Maybe a bit for Guardians but I didnt grow up with Guardians. Deadpool and Colossus I have followed for a long time. Negasonic was quite awesome as well - she had some great moments.

All the inside jokes were excellent - taking shots at Green Lantern, Wolverine Origins, cliches, even Ryan Reynolds himself.

The film is entertaining from beginning to end AND is actually a touching love story. Monica is quite good and likable in this. Reynolds has achieved something amazing.

Ajax was I guess forgetable but the actor has presence - he'll be an entertaining actor to watch in future films.

The only negative was that I would have liked to know Gina Carona's character's name spoken in the film - I dont remember hearing her name in the film rather than google who she is in the Marvel Universe.

As I have the same birthday as Ryan Reynolds, I actually guessed the post-credit scene. I read nothing about it and did not want to get spoiled yet I had a feeling that Deadpool would have that post-credit scene. It's a generational thing.

But damn, Colossus...f*ck yeah. Colossus!!

Deadpool is not new..im 40 and have been reading dead pool since i was 16 New Mutants #98 came out in 1991 ... so the 35-45 age group is who grew up with deadpool

generally a bad review because the critic sees the "small scale " as a negative. Why does everything have to be epic or part of a larger story? It's ridiculous and overkill.
