I have yet to watch it, but Reynolds mentioned in an interview that there were a lot of practical effects due to the smaller budget. I'm sure it has its fair share of CGI, but it doesn't sound like it was an overkill amount.

Yeah there's CGI of course. There's a lot of slow motion 3D panning shots...it's all cool stuff...lots of explosions as well.

Movie is only in 2D. The smaller than usual budget probably had a lot to do with why it wasn't post converted to 3D.

Saw it last night and it was pretty much what I expected.. fun fun and more fun. Did I mention fun!

Im a bit biased as I have always liked Deadpool even back in the Liefeld I can draw hands or feet days back in 93-94. He was like the R rated version of Spiderman with his non stop talking when he gets into squabbles.

Gave it a 4.5/5 but rounded it up to 5 for the pole. Can't wait for the Blu with all the deleted and unused takes, out takes and media extras that never released. Bring on Deadpool 2.

BvS is less than a month away with Civil War soon after! Man 2016 is going to top 2015 in my book.

Got my tickets almost two weeks ago to go today with the Mrs. & she now has pneumonia. She told me I can go, still debating it though. I'd like to have that extra reclining seat all to myself

I just think modern CGI looks a million times better in 3D.

It all looks cheap and nasty in 2D.

I should have pre ordered. When's the last time Fox had a steelbook in the States? Had it in my effing cart, then my daughter called, then I had a meeting & forgot about it.

In the last few months they've had Fant4stic and some other title released as steelbooks in NORTH AMERICA (why do they always just reference the United States? Canada gets them too.

I can't wait to see this. I won't be able to see it until Saturday though which sucks to wait even longer knowing it's out. I have a feeling that this could be one of the best CBMs of this year. That's saying a lot for me because I have high hopes for BvS. I have a feeling the best CBMs of this year will be:

1. Deadpool
2. Civil War
3. BvS
4. X-Men
5. Suicide Squad
6. Dr. Strange

Hard to rate these movies because it might be like comparing a Tom Brady to a Peyton Manning or Joe Montana and so on.

Exciting year to be a comic book movie nerd!
