It's looking very likely this will surpass the domestic totals of any of the X-Men movies to date, and with no 3D and an R rating. Leaving blind devotion aside, even I can see that that's absolutely incredible.

This is my personal theory about the continuity. If this argument bores you or hurts you in any way, please don't read:

[Show spoiler]In Timeline Prime, Wade's father became Weapon XI/"The Dead Pool" a.k.a. Barakapool. In 1981 AC ("X-Men Origins: Wolverine").

Thank God, 2023 Wolverine changed the events of 1973 and created a new timeline: Timeline Sigma. In this new timeline, Wade's father never became part of Team X, instead married a woman and birthed Wade Winston Wilson Jr. (named after him).

Wade Winston Wilson Jr. is the one who will become the proper and legit "Deadpool" in 2016.

So Deadpool is the son of Barakapool

God, not this junk again. People, you need to stop trying to force things to work in movies. Fox screwed the pooch in regards to Deadpool with Origins and they have righted it with this Deadpool film. Continuity is not strong with these X-Men films. They have some but not perfect. He is not Wade Wilson Jr, he IS Wade Wilson. Just stop it. Stop it.

While some parents have no problem bringing little kids to rated r movies I'm a big fan of not exposing kids to inappropriate content as long as possible. Let your kids be kids. I'm not saying you should pretend bad stuff doesn't happen out in the world but that doesn't mean you should be the one bringing them to porn or extreme sadistic violence. This stuff does have an effect varying from person to person. My moral compass kept tearing me out of this movie to watch the kids in the theater reaction to all the adult content in this movie. Movies like this and especially Watchmen are not meant for 7 year olds but too each their own.......*end rant*

I loved this movie a lot. Hysterical scenes. Nothing but laughter at the midnight showing I went to. Ryan Reynolds nailed this role to a tee. I'm planning to go again but to an IMAX viewing with a few friends.

Odd question and sort of off topic but I always found acquisitions interesting when it came to companies like Marvel under Disney's umbrella. Does Disney get a cut of the earnings at all (Marvel) or does all this go strictly to 21st Century Fox? I apologize in advance if my question isn't clear.
