Reynolds is definitely a good choice for Deadpool because of his improvised style of humor. Though it wasn't appropriate for the darker tone of a Blade movie IMO, Blade Trinity has Ryan Reynolds cranking out his one liners left and right for the whole movie. A good choice to watch for anyone who wants to get used to his style of humor before Deadpool hits.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine too. That movie is underrated IMO.

Even his comment on the picture is very Deadpool. He falls right into character. While I actually think Reynolds is a very good actor (Smokin' Aces), his go to quick to the mouth wit character is perfect.

Definitely also the movie I am anticipating the most next year (even though I am excited for BvS).

Even without an R this is still my most anticipated movie. It's a rare thing for a studio to have an actor who was born to play a role, and this is one of those occasions. Been a fan of Reynolds since the first time I saw him.

I wonder, in a worst case scenario, how they could pull off DeadPool's colorful commentary without an R rating, but PG-13?

TV today can get away with a lot more these days (Family Guy for example), so they could figure something out. The concept trailer pulls it off nice enough. But with all of the abuse Deadpool can take, hopefully we get an R for some gore too. I'm thinking they're possibly considering PG-13 for the biggest box office though to keep in line with Marvel's prior hits.

Well I think Kingsmen is Fox testing the waters for an R-rated flick this weekend, to see how successful they'll be. So here's hoping that manages to cross around the $30 mill mark, apparently the film is reasonably inexpensive to make, so I think they're aiming for a similar budget as that flick.

I agree completely. So here's to hoping Kingsman does well enough. We need an R-Rated Deadpool movie!

Yeah they need to realize that while yes lots of kids like their movies, it has been almost 15 years since the first X-Men and those who saw it then are older now.

I wouldn't even say the fanbases have much to do with each other. Sure, deadpool crosses over, but the majority of his current fanbase doesn't care about the X-Men anyways.

Gina Carano Joins Ryan Reynolds in Fox's 'Deadpool' (Exclusive)

Gina Carano has closed a deal to join Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool, Fox's action movie based on the wisecracking mercenary Marvel character.

Tim Miller is directing the action adventure project, which is eyeing a March start in Vancouver. Lauren Shuler Donner is producing.

Reynolds is an assassin who is dying of cancer who undergoes a procedure that is supposed to cure him but ends up twisted and scarred while also imbued with super-powers.

T.J. Miller is set to bring comedic relief to the movie in an undisclosed role. And, fanboy alert: The Russian X-Men character known as Colossus is slated to appear in the movie.

Carano will play a character known as Angel Dust. It is unclear how she fits into the proceedings, but in the Marvel comics, the character was part of an underground mutant group known as The Morlocks.

Before she tackles Deadpool, however, Carano will star opposite Bruce Willis in Extraction, an action movie from Emmett-Furla and Aperture Entertainment.

Steven C. Miller is directing the story of a CIA operative and his son who is following in his footsteps, with the movie beginning to lens next week.

The back-to-back shoots continue Carano's nonstop movie momentum. She recently wrapped production on Bus 657 opposite Robert DeNiro, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Kate Bosworth as well as Kickboxer, the reboot of the early 1990s action franchise that also stars Guardians of the Galaxy's Dave Bautista.

Of all the characters associated with Deadpool, why Colossus? I'm not even sure they crossed paths that often.

And why a Morlock that no one hardly knows or cares about? Really? Angel Dust? Not to be confused with either Angel 1 or Angel 2 or Dust.
