Deadpool, much like the current Howard the Duck, is a spoof of the superhero genre. (That's why Howard the Duck didn't work in film the first time around, because it too the concept seriously.)

If you've never enjoyed films that break the 4th wall, Deadpool is not for you. (Then again, if that's the case, you've never probably enjoyed Kuffs either.)
