Grow some stones and man up. If you are going to boycott the release then boycott it.

Simply purchasing the box set on the used market does nothing, because somewhere along the food chain Lucas got his. Whether you purchased it directly or you bought it from some poor schlub, GL made his bucks.

Have fun with your "boycott".

Unless the copies from Ebay "Fell Off A Truck", that's not even possible. And honestly, this is getting downright silly.

I wouldn't expect one until release date most likely. Since it's a 20th Century Fox title.

The X-Men: First Class review didn't go up until release date. And it was only one movie and 2 hours of extras.

Amazon still haven't dispatched mine. Its pathetic - I pre-ordered the day it was available and they can't even release it a day early like Tesco/Play.com? Its not the first time either...

I think the price I am getting for the box set is going to be hard to beat honestly, last week at Barnes and Noble I reserved in store for the Star Wars saga box set at $83.99 plus my membership discount. I also found a link online to a Barnes and Noble Member $8 off and DVD or Blu Ray $40 or more.

So my total comes out to:

$83.99 X .9=$75.59

$75.59-$8=$67.59

I cross my fingers and if I am lucky enough to get a 20% off member coupon in my email I could get this box set for $75.59 X .8=$60.47 before tax but honestly I will be more than happy with getting this set for $67.59 before tax with my $8 off coupon for any members here is the link.

I am getting mine kinda sorta free. I used some of my Amazon card points (as you can use them immediately now) and sold a few unwanted dvd's. Just made enough to get it for free (well..I know I lost money on the sale of the other dvd's..but hey, they were unwanted)

hot damn, did you get it working yet dude? I checked and I have the exact same blu-ray player and would be very bummed out if one of the discs just flat out didn't work.. perhaps its something to do with the region?

We also get Harry's thought about George Lucas before the review.
Awesome. Merlin already said the PQ is amazing. I guess he was right

I contacted Amazon about the price of the set going down. Here was the response:

Thanks for contacting us about the recent price change on Star Wars: The Complete Saga. I recognize you have a choice of retailers and appreciate that you prefer to order from us. Unfortunately, we do not have a post-order price guarantee.

I've reviewed your order and see that your items haven't shipped yet.

Under the circumstances, I'll make an exception for you and will reduce the price of the item to the currently-listed price of $79.99. This is what you will be charged for the item when your order ships.

That was sooo nice of them to do.

Yeah, Amazon really has gotten pretty lame as of late. Now they make it sound like they're going out of their way to do you a favor.

Might want to try "rebooting" the player. Google it for the model/procedure. I had the same player a while back and it would help.

I really dont mind Amazon for I use them all the time. My problem is that they are inconsistant at times with their rules. It all depends on who you talk to. Sometimes you get a great person willing to work with you..other times, not so much.

Dude just tell them they have pre-order price guarantee they have always been pretty friendly with me about making sure I get the lowest pre-order price and if that doesn't work just cancel your order and place a new one. The only time I run into problems is when the representative can't speak a proper sentence of English and has no idea what they are talking about
