I really like how on bonus discs 1 & 2 you can just hit play all & it goes from 1 feature to the next....so much easier than going thru each page.

I want to know why Han Solo gained 15 lbs of weight while he was in carbon freeze. This is never explained.

To quote "de movie"

Bond "you expect me to talk?"

Goldfinger "no mister Bond, I expect you to die!!"

So again why not shoot him instead of having strap on a table with a laser cutting at his double O seven

Short answer because directors do weird stuff when they make their movies because movies, are you sitting down for this one.....movies are not real!!

Goldfinger is a sadistic man. He likes to see his ennemies suffering and begging his mercy.

Or he planned to put Bond's corpse in a drawer. Sliced in two parts, Bond will take less room.

We can find many logical or funny explanations. But Toxic worms ? Seriously! ^^

the carbonite makes you swell. It is a side effect. We will have the proof in the Revenge of the Attack of the Return of the Sith in 2020

Yeah, seriously.

The Bond reference wasn't entirely at random. Elaborate - though wholly unrealistic - murder/assassination mechanisms are a fiction staple and have been for a very long time. Spiders, snakes, poison rings, poison darts...say, speaking of poison darts...

I'm curious, did the blow dart bother you as much as the snakes? Surely a tracable dart was a terrible choice of murder weapon in a world in which energy weapons are commonplace.

Me? I kind of liked them.

They were both cases where the whole '30s serials' feel actually worked pretty well.

I am also a huge fan of fantasy in assassination, but it must be sustained by a strong motivation ( sadism, impossibility to use conventional weapons, etc.), or the suspension of disbelief will break. which was the case in many part of the prequel trilogy. I call that a very bad writing. Thanks Luca$.

Actually, it goes like this and it's very simple but very hard for people to accept...

you like the movie and you are ready to accept things as they are.

you dislike the movie and you spend your time looking for little things in order to justify your disliking it.

I agree.

see, it wasn't too hard for me to accept it. ^^

Still, Luca$ is a horrible screenwriter.

Star Wars is unrealistic. In one desert scene on Tattoine in A New Hope, I counted 326 extra pieces of sand. It's totally obvious that no sand in real life would have 326 extra pieces laying around. It's too bad Lucas didnt digitally remove that.

the 326 extra pieces of sand, i can handle. But watching anakin killing loads of younglins and strangling padme because he wanted to save her from death is beyond me. Is he nuts ? I am talking about Luca$, not anakin. ^^

http://www.bizjournals.com/losangele...2/daily16.html - Note. The ONLY Hollywood type to do so.

The Luca$ thing is just asinine beyond belief. It diminishes any legitimate argument you could offer.

Plus a lot of your complaints seem to ignore established things in the films. Such as the Youngling helmets.

And do you really not get the whole Anakin/Padme thing? It was a predestination paradox of his visions.

Just like calling Sebastian Shaw in Return of the Jedi, Humpty Dumpty, and who keeps referring to him like that?

charity pledges? What has it to do with good writing ?
Sorry if the $ disturbs you that much. Let's say it is a fantasy in assassination. Just like Zam did with his useless worms.

Regarding the helmets, I know perfectly their purpose. what I found terrible is their design. Or maybe each youngling must wear it till he becomes a Jedi ? A kind of torture or what ? Or maybe the academy can't afford to buy them small sizes ?

You realize that Anakin Skywalker as portrayed by Sebastian Shaw is a Fictional Character, right?
